Την Κυριακή 18 Μαρίου 2012 και ώρα 10.00 θα πραγματοποιηθεί η ετήσια γενική συνέλευση των φιλοτελικών σωματείων που απαρτίζουν την Ελληνική Φιλοτελική Ομοσπονδία. Η συνέλευση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην αίθουσα συνεδριάσεων του Φιλοτελικού Μουσείου στο Παναθηναικό Στάδιο.

We are proud to announce, and invite you to join us in the 18th World Olympic Collectors Fair hosted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) on May 17th-20th 2012, in Athens.
The Hellenic Olympic Committee and its Commission for Olympic Philately, Numismatic and Memorabilia, in cooperation with the Hellenic Olympic Academy are pleased to inform you that the Fair will coincide with the Handing over Ceremony of the Olympic Flame by the Hellenic Olympic Committee to the London Organizing Committee of Olympic Games in the Panathenaic Stadium.
The 18th World Olympic Collectors Fair will be hosted at Zappeion Megaron (www.zappeion.gr ), a historical monument, the first building in the world to be constructed in order to serve Olympic needs and has always been linked to the Olympic Movement. Zappeion is located at the historical centre of Athens, surrounded by some of the most important buildings & monuments and within walking distance from the Panathenaic Stadium, where the Handing Over Ceremony will take place.
During the Fair, the Hellenic Post will also operate an office in Zappeion.
All participants will receive among other privileges, free accreditation passes compliments of H.O.C., to attend the Handing Over of the Olympic Flame Ceremony on May 17th at the Panathenaic Stadium.
They may also visit Athens Olympic venues and historical sites. A limited number of free accreditation passes for VIP seating for the Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame on 10th May in Olympia will also be available for few lucky participants with early bookings. 150th Anniversary of the birth of Gustav Klimt “The Embrace”, “The Kiss”, “The Three Ages of Woman” and “Hope II”. The Republic of San Marino will be using these four masterpieces to commemorate the 150 years that have passed since the birth of the Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt. Four commemorative stamps designed by artist Davide Cheli, remind us of the styles and imprint left by the Viennese Secession whose central figure was Klimt, an artist who knew how to contribute with great incisiveness in defining an Austrian school that was amongst the most significant national variations of Art Nouveau. Soft, sinuous and elegant lines, bi-dimensional forms and particular colour combinations all render the ideal of Gesamtkunstwerk, i.e. a “total work of art”, which led the secessionist artists to design, paint and decorate within a vision of an all-embracing fusion of the arts. The Viennese Secession, above all in its painting, was not so much an express act of revolt against the art of the past, as an initiative designed to create art in Austria, an art which answered the needs of the time. Klimt was president of the Secession, he organised its first exhibition in 1898, wrote its manifesto and published the first issue of the magazine, Ver Sacrum, the Secession’s official organ through which Secessionist painters, stylists and architects laid the ground for “Secession-style” taste, above all in the field of graphics. 1862- 2012: a story which lives on in Galleries across Europe and now thanks also to this homage from the Philatelic Office of San Marino.
